okay I’m lost. after the onions and celery are cooked, you add 2 cups of (uncooked?) rice to the onions or was the rice cooked when you added it to the vegetables?

You are a God send! I’m so grateful for coming across your videos. Recently my husband was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and he as well as myself LOVE soulfood and was afraid we’d have to give up EVERYTHING tasty that we love. You have given me/us hope. I wasn’t a big cooker due to my career but now that the economy has slowed down and I’m not working I feel confident that I will learn to cook HEALTHY, TASTY foods that both my husband and I can enjoy. I can’t wait for more.

WOW….this was delicious! thanks so much…you make cooking look easy and i had a great time following this recipe. as a grad student this dish will def make it to my regular rotation. i’m all about reasonably priced healthy eating.
